1. Zig zags:

Experiment with different patterns – zig zags are not commonly used. You can organise two-tone square tiles in a novel zig zag pattern which add a striking and creative look to your bathroom.

2. Match mixed materials:

You can try coordinating your tiles to your soft furnishings. For example, if your bathroom tiles have a blue floral design, you can get blue floral shower curtains to match the tiles.

3. Illustrated tiles:

Illustrated tiles are not often seen in bathrooms but can be a great, artistic addition to your home.

4. Two-tone stripes:

You can mix and match glossy tiles in a two-tone stripe pattern. One row of tiles can be a lighter shade of green, while the row of tiles beneath can be a darker shade of the same green and you can continue this pattern on the wall till the desired look has been achieved.

5. Uneven surfaces:

Another idea that you can try is to purchase tiles that have an uneven surface. Tiles that have a rough and uneven surface are novel and provide a more interesting look which would be suitable within kitchens and bathrooms.
