Cladding is a product that can be applied to any structure to give it a more pleasing appearance or to provide insulation for properties. 1. Affordable way to improve appearance of properties: 

Cladding may impact home sales depending on the materials used and potential buyers’ preferences. For example, wood cladding may make a building appear more pleasing and this may attract more potential buyers. 

2. Protects property:  

Cladding is an effective way to protect a building against extreme weather conditions including heavy winds and hail as well as increasing fire safety of a building. For example, fibre cement offers fire protection as it is fire resistant. Cladding can also be used to prevent rot, moisture, and insects.  

3. Makes buildings more energy efficient:

One common use of cladding is to add insulation to a building. For instance, foam can be used beside plywood panels. During the summer, cladding can also be used to keep the property cool. Certain materials can be used to prevent heat from penetrating the building.
