Guest room tips

Here are some tips to make your guests feel welcomed.

Neutral colours and flexibility

If you host often, it is a good idea to have a room that is flexible – one that has neutral colours (e.g. white paint, simple design) and you should also include a bunk bed or twin beds which will allow for multiple guests to stay at a time as well as their children.

Highlight the popular areas of your city

You can hang up some artwork or postcards to showcase the popular areas of your city. This can encourage your guests to explore the city and visit some of the best tourist attractions in the area. You can also place some travel magazines or brochures on the coffee table which your guests can read.

Spend a night in your guest room before inviting guests

If you want to ensure that your guest room is the best it can be for your visitors, you should spend a night in your guest room to see if it is a comfortable and suitable space. You may discover that you can add some more things such as extra blankets, extra hangers in the wardrobe and an alarm clock which will all be useful for when your guests come over.
